Brands set the same price at every authorized retailer, so price almost never changes between Sephora and Ulta. What does change is where a product is sold, and how much its rewards points are actually worth.

Rewards Programs

Since list price is usually the same everywhere, the real savings may be in the rewards program.

🎁 Ulta Rewards

You earn 1 point per $1 spent (base tier), up to 1.5 points per $1 at Diamond tier. When redeemed, each point is worth 3¢ to 6.25¢, depending on how many you cash in at once.

💜 Sephora Beauty Insider

You earn 1 point per $1 spent regardless of tier (Insider, VIB, and Rouge all earn the same rate). When redeemed in the Rewards Bazaar, each point is worth 2¢ to 4¢.
